Easy London Broil

London Broil is a cut of meat that I often find on sale, but it can be tough. I have tried many recipes through the years, and I have finally come up with one that is great. The key is allowing the meat to marinade as long as possible. I allow it to marinade for 24 hours.

I have shared previously that steak salads are an excellent meal for those trying to increase iron intake. This is my personal go-to recipe for steak salads.

Quick parent tip, allowing the meat to marinade 24 hours does tenderize it. When sliced thinly, even my picky eater enjoys this dish!

Easy Marinated London Broil

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 lbs London Broil

Instructions

  1. Mix first seven ingredients in a small bowl to make marinade.

  2. Place meat in either a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour marinade over meat and seal tightly. Allow to rest in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, but ideally 24 hours.

  3. Grill on high heat for 8-10 minutes, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly. Serve hot or store and serve cold at a later time.

Recipe Notes

I use my Cuisinart Griddler for this recipe. I have found that it not only cooks the London Broil perfectly, it doesn't heat up my entire kitchen. This fact has made this recipes one of my favorites for hot summer days!
